Marriage Unity Declaration
Hello, my dear friends. Below is instruction and a declaration for unity in your marriage. It can also be used for any healthy relationship that is having difficulties. We live in an age where people give up so easy on the most important relationships. Now don’t get me wrong, I am not someone who believes in saving a marriage and losing everything else in your life. There are times, when necessary, endings are a must. Unhealthy toxic abusive relationships are never to be tolerated. However, this declaration was written for those of us who are in healthy relationships, value marriage, know they have an enemy to their marriage, and are ready to fight for their marriage and family. Unfortunately, I consult more on divorce, but divorce is only God’s best when it is abuse. Otherwise, God’s best is for you to have a marriage that grows, becomes more vibrant with age, and develops each of you into the best version of you. In healthy relationships, we never lose our identity. Instead, we flourish, and walk out our uniqueness in freedom of being the best version of us. We grow better when we love and are loved. I encourage you to declare this prayer over your marriage, and relationships on a regular basis. Don’t wait until you are in the middle of crisis. However, with two willing partners, even in the middle of a heated feud, you can gain control of the circumstance and heal your marriage.
When Not in Agreement (STOP)
Submit to God and One Another- James 4:7 So submit to [the authority of] God. Resist the devil [stand firm against him] and he will flee from you.
Trust God, and One Another-Believe the Best- Proverbs 5-7 AMP reads, 5) Trust in and rely confidently on the LORD with all your heart, and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. 6) In all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize Him, and He will make your paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block your way]. 7) Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD [with reverent awe and obedience] and turn [entirely] away from evil.
Oppose the enemy in Unity-Matthew 18:18-20 AMP reads 18) Truly I tell you, whatever you forbid and declare to be improper and unlawful on earth must be what is already forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit and declare proper and lawful on earth must be what is already permitted in heaven. 19) Again, I tell you, if two of you on earth agree (harmonize together, make a symphony together) about whatever [anything and [everything] they may ask, it will come to pass and be done for them by My Father in heaven. 20) For wherever two or three are gathered (drawn together as My followers) in (into) My name, there I Am in the midst of them.
Praise God and Eliminate Pride-Daniel 4:37 AMP reads Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and exalt and honor the King of heaven, for all His works are true and faithful and His ways are just, and He is able to humiliate and humble those who walk in [self-centered, self-righteous] pride.”
When you find that you and your spouse are at odds whether in a heated debate or in a decision that will have lasting effects on your lives; stop. Stop talking, and debating the issues in the natural. Stop blaming, or accusing the other spouse. The quicker we come into the awareness we are fighting spiritual battles; and fight in the spirit together; we will overcome the enemy of our marriage, and family. We cannot win spiritual battles in the natural. We must stop, pray in the Holy Spirit (the spirit of truth), bind the devil off of our mind, marriage, and perceptions. Yield to the power and authority of God’s word, and resist the devil’s plots, and schemes.
It is so very important not to let fear come into your spirit. Fears about the past, present, or future. Stand your ground with your spouse in unity, and oppose the devil with the word of God; which is the sword of the spirit. In Jesus name, Amen!
Father, in the name of Jesus I/we yield and submit my/our will, to Your will, and word. The word of God is my/our final authority. We boldly confess that You alone are our Lord and Master. You have established our home in unity, and we are in covenant with You. We surrender our personal agendas, and understandings, and ask that You restore a humble heart in each of us. Help each of us to see one another in the light, and love of our Lord. My spouse (insert name) is not nor ever will be my enemy. Your word declares we do not wrestle against flesh, and blood but against spiritual wickedness, principalities, powers and rulers of darkness, in high places Ephesians 6:12 (paraphrased). In Jesus name, Amen!
We come against every spirit of pride in the name of Jesus, and command pride to leave my/our
mind(s), and atmosphere, now! For where jealousy, and selfish ambition exist (strife), there is disorder (unrest, rebellion), and every evil thing, and morally degrading practice. We refuse to allow fault finding, blaming, complaining, mistrust, fear, discord, division, isolation, manipulation, domination, intimidation, prayerlessness, and unforgiveness to be active in our mind, will, or emotions. For Isiah 54:17 declares, “No weapon that is formed against you will succeed; and every tongue that rises against you in judgment you will condemn. This [peace, righteousness, security, and triumph over opposition] is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,
And this is their vindication from Me,” says the Lord. In unity, we (insert your names) command peace to return to our home. Holy Spirit expose every lie, expose every evil plot against us; and protect our marriage, our body, soul (mind, will, & emotions), and spirit, our family (parents, children, grandchildren), our homes, our processions, and everything that pertains to life, and godliness. And they (insert names) overcame, and conquered enemy because of the blood of the Lamb (Jesus), and because of the word of their testimony (Revelation 12:11). In Jesus name, Amen!
The devil has been exposed. We do not war against one another. Many are the affections of the righteous but the Lord delivers them out of them all Psalms 34:19. According to 2 Chronicles 20:15- 30 we will not be afraid, or dismayed because this battle belongs to the Lord, and He fights for us. We will stand still with praise in our mouths, and hearts. We believe in the Lord our God, and we are established, and we shall prosper in our marriage, and family which is our inheritance. In Jesus name, Amen!
Whatever the current situation/circumstance involves, we have fully STOPPED (submitted, trusted, opposed, and praised). By stopping, we come into alignment with the Lord Jesus’ divine order, and purposed for our lives. We rest in God, knowing he has final authority in our lives, our families live, our finances, and everything that pertains to our lives. The enemy cannot win against us, when we are at rest in Lord, showing our faith is active in God. In Jesus name, Amen!
